Welcome

Welcome to the Sydney Cube Championship!

Sydney Cube Championship is a celebration of everything we love about the Cube format: community-run limited Magic from the heart of Sydney's cube scene, welcoming all drafters from near and far.

Since 2025, drafters have gathered for a weekend of cube drafting and competitive play to crown the cube champion. If you have never attended a cube event, you are in for something truly unique.

Participation does not require owning any Magic cards. All the cards, lands, tokens, and play pieces are provided for you.

This year, the championship will be held at Good Games Town Hall in Sydney on 14–15 November, capped at 48 players.

FAQ

Good to know

What is Cube?

Cube is a curated Magic: The Gathering draft format built from a custom card list, designed for replayable and high-skill limited gameplay.

Is this beginner-friendly?

Yes. You do not need your own card collection, and plenty of players will be new to cube or new to competitive limited. The event is run at Comp REL, but the weekend is still about drafting, learning, and meeting the community.

Do I need to bring my own cards?

No. All cards, lands, tokens, and play pieces for the drafted cubes are provided.

How many players can enter?

The event is capped at 48 players, so passes are limited.

What rules enforcement level is the event?

The championship is run at Competitive Rules Enforcement Level (Comp REL).

Can I attend only one day?

Yes. Weekend passes and single-day passes for either Saturday or Sunday will be available.

Where is Good Games Town Hall and how do I get there?

The championship is held at Good Games Town Hall, Shop 1, Lower Ground, 93 York Street, Sydney NSW 2000. It is in the Sydney CBD, about a five-minute walk from Town Hall Station and a short walk from the Queen Victoria Building. Town Hall, Museum, and QVB light rail stops are all nearby if you are coming from elsewhere in the city.

What about food and amenities?

Good Games Town Hall is in the Sydney CBD, with plenty of cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. You can grab lunch between rounds or step out easily during downtime.

Can I submit more than one cube?

Yes. You can submit multiple cubes through the form on this site. If you do, bring separate basic lands for each list in case more than one of your cubes is used in the same round.
